Dear Friend/Client,
As 2025 winds down, I ‘d like to pause to reflect upon all the good that has taken place in my life and in my business. I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize the confidence, trust, and friendship you have placed in me and my team here at WealthGuard
Advisors. Thank you! Like every year, we faced struggles, but like every year, we overcame them by doing our best and doing what’s right. We feel very fortunate to be associated with you, even blessed.
In my personal life I was blessed to welcome a new grandchild, Blake had a baby girl in May, and she is a healthy, happy, smiling baby anxious to start crawling. For my fun trip of the year, I went with my oldest son on a surf trip to Maldives. And just a couple weeks ago, with many thanks to those of you who showed up to help, I had a record olive harvest of just over 4,300 pounds that pressed into 37 gallons of oil. I am looking forward to a holiday season surrounded by family and friends and an exciting new year to work with all of you.
In 2025, my industry underwent a period of consolidation, and we regularly received offers to merge into a larger firm. Some of the offers were attractive, but I fought too long and hard to become truly independent and not be beholden to a parent company. I
have rejected these offers knowing that the reason most of you have decided to work with WealthGuard Advisors is for the stability of a long-term, consistent relationship with real people who know you by name and face. I decided that bigger isn’t always better,
and in the spirit of the upcoming 250th anniversary of our nation, independence means something and should be protected and valued. So, we are going to keep doing what we do best – serve you as best we can as a custom, independent advisory firm.
Here are some things we are working on in 2026:
- We are producing a short weekly podcast on our YouTube channel; it is also posted on our website here. We try to keep these between 5-10 minutes long where Blake and I discuss what’s moving the investment markets. We are still new at this, but we would appreciate it if you can tune in to see what we are thinking about and hopefully learn something new.
- We plan on writing a “regular” emailed newsletter (like this one) on a periodic basis or as needed to let you know our thoughts on the market, changing regulations, and our interactions with you and our community.
- We plan to have more events where we can spend time together in an informal setting. We will be hosting an open house on Thursday, 12/18/2025 from 1:00-4:00 pm. We hope you can drop by to say “hi” and enjoy cider and a seasonal treat. We are planning and looking for other opportunities to rub elbows this coming year so keep an eye out for notifications.
